FINAL ROUND OF THE FACULTY-LEVEL STUDENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH COMPETITION – ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026
On the afternoon of March 29, 2026, at Hall C of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the Final Round of the Faculty-Level Student Scientific Research Competition for the academic year 2025–2026, organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, was successfully held.
The competition was organized to promote scientific research activities among students, foster an academic environment for knowledge exchange between students, lecturers, and researchers, and contribute to enhancing training quality and developing high-quality human resources. This event is one of the major academic activities of the University in the 2025–2026 academic year.
Following the Preliminary Round, 13 outstanding research projects conducted by 13 student teams from the Faculty of Foreign Languages were selected to compete in the Final Round. During the event, each team presented their research findings and received constructive academic feedback from the Scientific Council, serving as valuable input for further improvement and future research development.
At the conclusion of the competition, two First Prizes were awarded to the following projects:
· English Majors’ Perceptions of Ethics and Information Verification in AI-Assisted Academic Writing at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade – Project Leader: Nguyen Tran Mai Quyen.
· The Impact of Orthographic, Phonological, and Semantic Factors on Chinese Character Memorization among First-Year Chinese Language Majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade – Project Leader: Vo Hoang Hai Dang.
Two Second Prizes were awarded to the following projects:
· The Effect of Teacher’s Humor on Students’ Speaking Anxiety in EFL Classrooms” – Project Leader: Phạm Nguyễn Đăng Khoa
· An Analysis of Common Errors Made by K14 Chinese Language Majors in Business Translation Course – Project Leader: Phạm Thanh Yến.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded three Third Prizes, and four Consolation Prizes to projects demonstrating strong academic merit, creativity, and practical relevance.
The Final Round not only provided an opportunity to recognize students’ rigorous research efforts but also contributed to fostering a culture of scientific research, inspiring academic enthusiasm, and establishing a solid foundation for students to continue participating in scientific research competitions at the university level and beyond.
