UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT (2025)
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) hereby announces the admission for full-time undergraduate programs in 2025.
I. Admission Eligibility:
- Candidates who have graduated from High School (THPT) in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Candidates must possess sufficient health for academic study according to current regulations.
- Candidates must provide complete personal information and preliminary application dossiers as required.
II. Admission Scope: Nationwide enrollment.
III. Admission Principles:
- Ensure maximum convenience and opportunities for candidates, maintaining fairness, openness, and transparency.
- Selection is conducted from highest to lowest scores until the enrollment quota is met. In cases where there are remaining spots but multiple candidates have the same score, secondary criteria will be applied.
- Candidates with higher scores in Mathematics, Literature, or English (corresponding to the specific subject group of each major) will be prioritized for admission.
IV. Admission Methods and Majors
The University does not conduct early admission. The timeline for announcing admission results will strictly follow the framework and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
The University utilizes 05 admission methods:
- Method 1: Admission based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Examination.
- Method 2: Admission based on High School Academic Transcripts (Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 results).
- Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) organized by the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).
- Method 4: Direct Admission in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Method 5: Admission based on the results of the Specialized Competency Assessment organized by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, combined with High School Academic Transcripts for the subject groups corresponding to each major.
4.1. Method 1: Admission based on 2025 High School Graduation Examination results
- Registration Process: Candidates applying to the University must register their preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) Portal or through the National Public Service Portal, following the general schedule and guidelines provided by the MOET for system verification and processing.
- Admission Code: Candidates must select the University's admission code: DCT.
- Admission Quality Threshold (Cut-off scores): This will be announced in accordance with the MOET’s schedule after the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Examination are released.
4.2. Method 2: Admission based on High School Academic Transcripts (Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12)
- Admission Principle: Selection is based on the academic results of Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12, specifically the average score of the 3 subjects in the subject group corresponding to each major.
- Admission Quality Threshold:
- Candidates must achieve an average score of at least 20 points for the 3 subjects in the chosen subject group across Grades 10, 11, and 12.
- For the Law major group, the minimum score for Mathematics must be 6.0 and the minimum score for Literature must be 6.0; or the score for Literature must be at least 6.0.
- Note on Scoring: These thresholds apply to candidates in Region 3; priority points for other regions and specific candidate categories will be calculated in accordance with current regulations.
4.3. Method 3: Admission based on the 2025 Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) organized by Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM)
- Admission Quality Threshold: Selection is based on the test results of the 2025 VNU-HCM Scholastic Aptitude Test, provided that the scores meet the following requirements:
- At least 600 points for all majors.
- Specifically for the Law major group: The minimum admission quality threshold is a total score of 720 points, with a minimum score of 180 points in the Vietnamese language component and 180 points in the Mathematics component.
- Note on Scoring: These thresholds apply to candidates in Region 3; priority points for other regions and specific candidate categories will be calculated in accordance with current regulations.
4.4. Method 4: Direct Admission in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET)
- Direct admission is granted to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria specified in Article 8 of Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDĐT dated June 06, 2022, and Circular No. 06/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated March 19, 2025, which amends and supplements certain articles of the Regulations on Undergraduate Admission and Early Childhood Education College Admission.
4.5. Method 5: Admission based on the Specialized Competency Assessment test results from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, combined with High School Academic Transcripts for corresponding subject groups.
- Admission Principle: Candidates intending to apply for a specific major shall register for the corresponding specialized competency assessment test; the result will be combined with the High School Academic Transcript scores of the remaining two subjects in the subject group corresponding to that major.
- Admission Quality Threshold: Selection is based on the combined results of the specialized competency assessment test and high school academic performance. There is no "failing grade" (diểm liệt) for the specialized competency assessment subject.
- Admission Score Formula:
Admission Score = Specialized Assessment Score+ 3-year Average of Subject 1 + 3-year Average of Subject 2
- Candidates must achieve a total score of 20 points or higher for the subject group corresponding to each major.
- Specific Requirements for Law Major Group: The minimum score for Mathematics must be 6.0 and the minimum score for Literature must be 6.0; or the score for Mathematics must be at least 6.0; or the score for Literature must be at least 6.0.
- Note on Scoring: These thresholds apply to candidates in Region 3; priority points for other regions and specific candidate categories will be calculated in accordance with current regulations.
4.6 List of Undergraduate Majors for Full-time Programs in 2025
V. Registration Procedures and Preliminary Application Deadlines
Candidates wishing to apply to the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade must register their preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) Admission Portal or the National Public Service Portal, following the general schedule and guidelines provided by the MOET for system verification and processing. Candidates must select the University's Admission Code: DCT.
In addition to registering on the MOET Admission Portal, candidates must submit a preliminary application dossier to the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade if they utilize the following methods:
- Method 2: Admission based on High School Academic Transcripts (Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 results).
- Method 4: Direct Admission in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Method 5: Admission based on the results of the Specialized Competency Assessment organized by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, combined with High School Academic Transcripts for the corresponding subject groups.
- Foreign Language Certificate Conversion: Converting international language certificates into English scores for Method 1 (2025 High School Graduation Examination results) or Method 2 (High School Academic Transcripts of Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12).
5.1. Method 4: Direct Admission in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training
- Application Deadline: Before 5:00 PM (17:00) on June 30, 2025.
- Registration Procedure: Candidates shall submit their admission registration dossiers to the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) using the standardized forms prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
5.2. Method 2: Admission based on High School Academic Transcripts (Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12)
- Preliminary Application Period: From June 4, 2025, to before July 5, 2025.
- The application dossier includes:
- Preliminary Registration Form for admission via high school transcripts (using the University's standardized form available here).
- 01 photocopy of the High School Academic Transcript.
- 01 photocopy of the Citizen ID Card.
- Supporting documents for priority points related to policy categories or regional priority (if applicable) (photocopy).
- Preliminary Application Fee: 30,000 VND per preference.
Note: Candidates who graduated from high school in 2024 or earlier must submit a photocopy of their High School Graduation Diploma.
5.3. Method 5: Admission based on the Specialized Competency Assessment test results from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, combined with High School Academic Transcripts for corresponding subject groups.
- Preliminary Application Period: From June 4, 2025, to before July 5, 2025.
- The application dossier includes:
- Preliminary Registration Form for admission via specialized assessment scores (using the University's standardized form available here).
- 01 photocopy of the Score Report from the Specialized Competency Assessment organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
- 01 photocopy of the High School Academic Transcript.
- 01 photocopy of the Citizen ID Card.
- Supporting documents for priority points related to policy categories or regional priority (if applicable) (photocopy).
- Preliminary Application Fee: 30,000 VND per preference.
Note: Candidates who graduated from high school in 2024 or earlier must submit a photocopy of their High School Graduation Diploma.
5.4. Conversion of Foreign Language Certificates into English Admission Scores:
- Deadline for conversion requests: Until July 19, 2025.
- The application dossier includes:
- Application form for foreign language certificate conversion (using the University's standardized form available here).
- 01 photocopy of the Citizen ID Card.
- 01 photocopy of the Foreign Language Certificate to be converted (refer to Appendix 4 of this Announcement).
Note: The conversion of foreign language certificates into English admission scores only applies to Method 1 (admission based on 2025 High School Graduation Examination results) or Method 2 (admission based on High School Academic Transcripts of Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12).
5.5. Methods for Submitting Preliminary Application Dossiers:

Important Notes:
- Registration of Preferences: Candidates applying to the University must register their PREFERENCES on the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) Admission Portal or via the National Public Service Portal. This must follow the general schedule and guidelines provided by the MOET for system verification and processing. Candidates must select the University's Admission Code: DCT.
- No Early Admission: The University does not conduct early admission. The timeline for announcing admission results will strictly follow the framework and guidelines provided by the MOET.
- Candidate Responsibility: Candidates are fully responsible for the accuracy of all registered admission information. This includes personal details, regional priority, priority categories (if applicable), registered preferences, and the authenticity of all related supporting documents.
- Verification and Cancellation: During the admission and enrollment process, if the University detects any discrepancies between the information declared by the candidate and the data updated by high schools on the MOET Admission Portal, or through post-admission verification, the admission result will be canceled.
- Validity of Language Certificates: International foreign language certificates used for score conversion must be valid for 2 years as of August 13, 2025—the date the Ministry of Education and Training begins the admission screening process.
